City Sign Up Anderson

Nottingham Forest winger Paul Anderson has signed a deal with Bristol City.

The 24 year old was out of contract with Forest and joins City on a two year contract.

Last season he could only manage 19 appearances for his side, but he is tipped to resurrect his career at Ashton Gate after joining the club on a free transfer.

City manager Derek McInnes said to City's official website: 'It was frustrating for him last year not playing as many games as he would have liked.

'We've been able to pick him up on a free transfer, a lad desperate to play regularly again.

'He is a player with bags of potential, who knows the Championship with years of experience in the division and arrives at a decent age. "

Anderson started his career in Hull City's academy before Liverpool stepped in and took him to Anfield, but after three years with the club he had not managed to break into the first team and was let go out on loan, one of which was at the City Ground with Nottingham Forest.

He then signed a permanent deal and went on to make 104 appearances for the Trentside outfit.

Shrewd bit of business by Bristol City. Always been impressed with Anderson and to get him on a free when a few years back people were clambering for his signature seems to make for a good signing.
