'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McInnes Pleased With Signings, There Will Be More.

When Derek McInnes spoke about the double signing of Tom Heaton and Paul Anderson, you could tell that he was delighted with the signings.

Both players arrived on free transfers with ex-Nottingham Forest winger Anderson putting pen to paper on a two year deal and Heaton agreeing a similar two year spell with a further twelve months on an option for the club.

Both players had other clubs interested in them but both players chose to come to Ashton Gate because of the manager and his ambitions.

McInnes was just glad to have got the lads signed up as they are great players in his opinion and he also said there should be more signings to follow.

He told the club's official website: 'We're pleased to get these two lads over the line and they'll join us in Scotland now.

'Both are of a decent age and pedigree; both are on free transfers as well.

'We've got other irons in the fire too, and I'm hoping to get one or two more in before the season begins.'
