City Beat Kilmarnock

Bristol City put in a good performance against Kilmarnock on Monday to end up narrow winners in the end in a game that saw Albert Adomah and Tom Heaton impress.

The Robins looked good value for a win and they took the lead on 33 minutes when Adomah picked up a through ball from Kilkenny and fired a shot past the keeper from the edge of the box.

City then got wasteful in front of goal with Ryan Taylor, Stephen Pearson and Martyn Woolford all missing good chances.

Heaton was called into action a few times and shows nice touches with his distribution, looks like he will prove to be a good signing for City.

But he was not able to stop Kennedy from grabbing an equaliser after 52 minutes, there was no way of stopping the striker's half volley into the top corner of the net.

Woolford latched onto a ball from Stead and he had no problem finishing, but the lead lasted just a minute before Racchi smashed home a shot.

But there was one more goal left in the game and that went to new boy Paul Anderson who was set up by Stead to easily score from six yards.
