City Chasing Derby Striker

City Chasing Derby Striker

Bristol City are in talks to sign Derby County striker Steve Davies.

Davies is on the transfer list at Derby, he wants a move away from the club for family reasons, Derby are willing to let the player go reluctantly and according to Sky Sports, Derek McInnes is interested.

The 24 year old was Derby's top scorer last term and City are known to be wanting a boost up front to help supply the goals needed for an attempt to gain promotion.

This would be a smack in the eye for Ipswich manager Paul Jewell who has not been able to agree a fee for the player.

Blackburn Rovers are also said to be interested.
