City Sign Up Davies From Derby County

Bristol City have signed Derby striker Steven Davies for an undisclosed fee.

The 24 year old arrives at Ashton Gate after completing a medical this morning, he has signed a three year contract.

Davies will go straight into the squad that faces Crystal Palace at home on Tuesday night wearing the number 16 shirt.

It has been speculated that an offer of £750,000 was put on the table by City and that beat off the interest coming from Ipswich Town who were also desperate to sign the player.

He has been with Derby County since they acquired him from Tranmere in 2008 for £725,000.
