Fair Chance For Players Says McInnes.

Bristol City boss Derek McInnes says that he wont be diving head first into the loan market, not until the other players that he has to work with have had a fair chance.

McInnes has been looking for an experienced right sided defender since the end of last season and now the search could widen after losing the services of Greg Cunningham who will be out long term.

If anyone is to come in, they wont be appearing at Watford on Saturday as those already at the club get the opportunity to show what they can do.

City have done well picking points up at the likes of Leeds and Leicester, and if they can manage to reach the next two game international break then there might be no need to go altering things around too much.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: 'We are still looking to get a defender in to help with numbers and we are working hard behind the scenes to get good players in, who can improve us.

'But results and performances will determine just how active we are (in the transfer market). We will look to within the squad for Saturday's game and, hopefully, we have players here who can get us results.

'The squad is strong and we knew it would have to be to cope with situations like the one we are in at the minute. We will utilise the squad as much as we can.'
