Magpies Set To Sign Stewart

Notts County are looking to sign ex-Bristol City Jamaica international defender Damion Stewart.

The 32 year old who was released by City last month has already spent time at Meadow Lane as he was there on loan last season.

Magpies manager Keith Curle is very interested in making Stewart a Notts County player and hopes that a deal can be sorted out soon.

He told the Nottingham Evening Post: 'We are waiting for him to get his work permit sorted out.

'We are hoping it will get done this week so hopefully he will be available then if a deal can be done between us and his advisors.'
