Warnock Happy With The Three Points

Warnock Happy With The Three Points

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock was pleased that his side had managed to get the full three points on offer at Bristol City on Saturday.

His side were never behind in the game and it was controversial star Diouf who grabbed two of the goals that set the visitors on their way to a good win.

It was pleasing for Warnock to see because it's what he had planned after an amazing win over Everton in the League Cup earlier in the week.

Warnock told the Press Association: 'What a fantastic week. To beat Forest, Everton and Bristol City over such a short space of time with seven players out injured is tremendous.

'We passed the ball too much in the first half and I always felt we could step up a gear. Bristol were unlucky with injuries, but we had a goal disallowed, which I felt was harsh.'

I still don't know why the goal was disallowed but Stuart Attwell was his usual inconsistent self. He gave us a free kick in the dying moments when Diouf went over like a dying swan. The linesman, two feet away shook his head and Atwell gave it. No wonder he is so bad when the officials he works with think he makes wrong decisions. In the end I thought we deserved it but I could never see there being five goals in the game after the first half performance.
