McInnes Interested In Tannadice Job

Former Bristol City manager Derek McInnes is interested in taking over as Dundee United's manager when the current boss leaves.

United boss Peter Houston will be leaving the Scottish outfit in May and McInnes would be interested in being the next man in the Tannadice hot-seat.

But before he can think about that, he still has to do some negotiating with Bristol City over finalising his departure from Ashton Gate.

Even then, that does not mean that the 41 year old will walk straight into the job, there is also interest being shown from Falkirk manager Steven Pressley, Partick Thistle's Jackie McNamara, Alloa boss Paul Hartley and former Livingston manager Gary Bollan.

The Tannadice board already have a lengthy list of possible candidates with some surprise names on it apparently.
