'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O'Driscoll: 'Team Needs To Man Up.'

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll saw his club hammered once again on home soil and said after the game that his players should apologise to the fans.

City went down 3-1 in this latest defeat with the game once again being all but over early on thanks to a quickly taken double from James Vaughan who went on to end the game with a hat trick.

Lewin Nyatanga headed home a Greg Cunningham cross late on, but the Robins were a long way short of giving the fans much to please.

O'Driscoll told reporters: 'That performance was the worst since I came here and totally unacceptable.

'We played without pride and I can assure supporters that won't happen again.

'We owe them an apology. In our last game at Hull we looked as though we shouldn't be relegated, but here we showed why we are going down.

'Basically we are not good enough. The home performances since I took over have been consistently encouraging, even when we have been beaten.

'Losses are inevitable at times and it is how you lose that counts. We have a lot of work to do during the summer and need to man-up.'
