Other players on their way through the exit door at Ashton Gate are Mark Wilson, Brian Howard, Matthew Bates, Dean Gerken and Lewis Carey.

Vital City wishes all the players leaving the best of luck.

On a brighter side for other players, there have been new deals offered to Tom Heaton, Lewin Nyatanga and Louis Carey.

Director of Football Keith Burt told the BBC: 'The head coach believes Tom and Lewin would be key players for us in League One next season and we'll be making offers to them both.

'With Louis, his experience and know-how is seen as important for what we believe will be a young squad.'
