City Finally Have Flint Bid Accepted.

City Finally Have Flint Bid Accepted.

According to BBC Radio Wiltshire, Bristol City have had a £350,000 bid for central defender Aden Flint accepted by Swindon Town.

There was an option in the player's contract which meant that Swindon could keep Flint for an extra twelve months when his contract ran out, Swindon took up that option but the player put in a formal transfer request.

Bristol City were immediately alerted and made an offer for the 23 year old which was turned down. But eventually, City made an offer big enough for Swindon to let them open talks with the player.

Speaking about Flint after the previous bid was rejected, City boss Sean O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Bristol: 'He'd be somebody we feel that would fill the right centre-half gap that seems to have been a problem since Steven Caulker left.

'He's a good age and someone we think we can develop further.'
