Baldock Grateful To Fans For His Award

Sam Baldock has given a big thank you to fans for staying behind the club when things were not going so well in the early part of the season.

This season's Player Of The Year is brimming with pride after getting the award which was no doubt because of his 26 goals so far this term for the club.

Things turned around for Baldock after Steve Cotterill was appointed which was quite a bounce back for a striker who at one time had only found the net once in 15 games.

He told Bristol City Player: "I`m really proud to be given this by the supporters.

"They`ve been great to me all season, through the tough times as well - they`ve stuck with me and I`m very grateful.

"There`s no hiding the fact that we had a tough start to the season and we had some very tough times here, as well as away from home.

"Fortunately we`ve managed to pull ourselves out of the hole we were in.'
