Wilbraham Took Little Persuading To Join City

Wilbraham Took Little Persuading To Join City

New Bristol City signing Aaron Wilbraham says that Steve Cotterill had a big part in getting the player to sign for the club.

Wilbraham was in Dubai and ended up in a chance meeting with Cotterill which lead to him signing a one year deal.

Whether there will be another deal at the end of this one remains to be seen what with Wilbraham being 34 now, but for the moment Cotterill has his target.

Wilbraham told the club's official website: 'I saw the gaffer in Dubai, we had a chat and arranged a meeting for when we returned.

'I also saw him in the gym a couple of times. He said he was checking up on me as he had someone texting him every time I went into the gym!'

Wilbraham is also keen to team up once again with his good friend Sam Baldock, who he shared a dressing room with while at MK Dons.
