Transfer window? Who to get

Transfer window? Who to get

>So first of all a happy new year to all readers and we here at Vitalfootball Bristol City wish you a fantastic new year and hope for a promotion to finally cheer about!

Onto the football then, so the transfer window has come around and the rumours will deffinatly fly around throughout the window with some already going around!

Rumours in the Daily record suggest we are going to bid 50k for striker Craig Dargo from Inverness CT. With him being on the bench today them rumours could be true.

Anyway onto targets I think we should go for, starting with central midfielders, we need someone with steel and determination to break up play as this season our midfield has been overan on to many occasions, something that must stop to get promotion. One player I have admired over the past 3 or 4 seasons is a player of real quality called Richie Wellens of Oldham. Always shows real technical ability to pass to ball around but most of all hes a hard worker and a battler. Always seeing him boss the City midfield but with Oldham above us I don't think I can see them selling him to us, not even for big money but still someone we should go in for.

Next Target position is the biggest problem in the team, left midfield!
We have been begging out for someone to fill that position before the start of the season and its a position which has been a problem for GJ so far with Skuse having to fill the position, proving that he will need to buy this month. I really can't think of many targets for this position because its a posistion which has been tough for anyone to fill. I think that with Tristan plummer signing soon, GJ may experiment but thats something we shouldnt need to do. Just hope he brings someone with quality in!

Finally I think we need a striker with real poaching ability and thats where I know we can get quality for decent money. Being linked with Grant Holt again is not who I would like us to be linked with because 300k is too much to pay. We need to look to the lower leagues where there are two strikers who I like the look of. first of all theres Clayton Donaldson from York who is one of the top scorers in the conference with 16 goals. Quick and good in the air, Donaldson 22 is a young player with a great reputation and surly will cost around 100-150k, better buy than Holt!

Another striker who interests me is Andy Bishop from Bury, at 24 he has potential still and scored 23 goals for York last season which prompted Bury to buy him and he is paying back with goals. I watched him live in the FA cup and he scored a superb header and looked a threat all the way through the game, a real poacher who again would cost pennys, Maybe 100-125k!

So there are the players who we should go in for In my opinion, now lets hope we can sign away and have a good January!

Come on you reds!
