'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Duo Doubtful For Oldham

Steve Brooker and Kelly Youga are struggling to be fit in time for Saturday's match at Oldham.

Johnson has already written off loan signing Youga who has returned to Charlton to undergo treatment for a groin problem. And he is now concerned over Brooker who was hobbling at the end of the match with Tranmere and has sustained a leg injury.

'Our medical team give Brooks less than a 50/50 chance of being available but we are pushing him a bit to try and improve the odds.

'Of course, we don't want to risk losing him for a longer period. But he adds strength to our squad and is a key player for us.

'We are getting regular reports on Kelly from Charlton, who feel he won't be ready for the weekend, but should be fit for Chesterfield the following Wednesday.'
