Despite his somewhat unlikely two goals in Saturday's cup defeat, Sheffield Wednesday defender Paul Heckingbottom remains aware that he is still surplus to requirements at Hillsborough.
The former Bradford City player was a vital member of Wednesday's promotion side last season but is out of favour since the arrivals of John Hills and Peter Gilbert.Twenty eight year old,six footer Paul who has also had spells at Darlington, Hartlepool, Norwich, Scarborough and Sunderland is said to be considering bids from from Blackpool and Bristol City but is hoping that there will be an offer forthcoming to allow him to stay in Yorkshire.
