Royals in for reds starlet?

Royals in for reds starlet?

The young defensive midfielder is being eyed by Reading manager Steve Coppell as an ideal replacement for Steve Sidwell who departed for Chelsea earlier this summer.

The young starlet played 52 games for City in their promotion season and the 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best talents in Engalnd outside of the Premiership.

However City boss Gary Johnson, claims he has heard nothing from Reading regarding any interest for the young Midfielder.

"Cole Skuse is our player and, as with any other player, you have to treat that sort of thing as total speculation until you get an approach - and we certainly haven't had an approach," Johnson was quoted.

It looks as though there could be truth in the story as Reading yesterday sold Halford to Sunderland the funds received for him could be spent immediateley on two new players one of them believed to be Cole Skuse.
