McIndoe On Lack Of Muscle Power!

Michael McIndoe explains how Bristol City were out-muscled by Palace at the weekend and says they must learn to compete better if they still want automatic promotion.

'We haven`t won for two games now, so things could be better but generally all's going well. We are joint second in the table, even though we have only picked up one point from a possible six over the last two games.

'On Saturday we lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace, but our heads haven`t gone down. If we'd played badly our confidence would have been affected but we weren`t outplayed. I would say we were more out-muscled. Palace played very direct football. They were very effective and they looked to disrupt our game. They probably deserved to win the game.

'We are already defying people's expectations. We've done brilliantly this season. But the way our season has gone means that if we let everything slip and finished 12th we would be very disappointed indeed. We know only half the season has gone so we won't be getting complacent.'
