Brooker May Return Early

Brooker May Return Early

Steve Brooker who is currently on loan at Cheltenham Town may be called back to Ashton Gate earlier than planned.

The striker is at the League One club to improve his fitness after a long time out due to injury. The 26 year old has yet to play a full game for Cheltenham, but has had no set backs in the three games he has played in.

Johnson told the Western Daily Press: 'He still has another game or two to go with Cheltenham and he will probably need that game or two.

'If we decide he needs to stay there for another month, then we have the option of pulling him back as a 24-hour recall.

'But we may decide he's ready and recall him at the end of this month.

'We'll continue to keep a very close eye on him and we'll bring him back when we think he's ready.'
