Basso Top Of Actim Ranks

Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso is the top-ranked goalkeeper in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

The 32-year-old Brazilian climbed to 13th overall after keeping a clean sheet as the Robins beat Blackpool last time out, adding 18 points to his tally and bringing him up to an impressive 375 for the season.

His total is only surpassed by midfielder Michael McIndoe, whose 19 points on Saturday lifted him four places into 10th overall with 381 points this term.

City boss Gary Johnson can be proud of his men, eight of his squad currently in the top 100 as they continue their search for promotion to the Barclays Premier League.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Bristol City players are:

Player/Ranking/Position Ranking/Index Score

Michael McIndoe, 10th, 4th Ranked Midfielder, 381 points

Adriano Basso,13th, 1st Ranked Goalkeeper, 375

Marvin Elliott, 15th, 5th Ranked Midfielder, 369

Bradley Orr, 39th, 12th Ranked Midfielder, 319

Lee Johnson, 45th, 13th Ranked Midfielder, 316

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
