Carey On The Way Back

Louis Carey made his first step back to fitness by playing 78 minutes in City's reserve team victory over Swindon Town Reserves.

The first team skipper has been out of action for over a month with an Achilles injury, but he may be set for a recall to the first team on Saturday.

Gary told bcfc.co.uk today: 'All I will say is he is almost ready.

'In poor conditions it was good to see Louis come through the game without any problems. In fact I think the whole team played well.'

City won the game 3-2, Lee Trundle netted twice and an own goal for City.
