Robins Welcome Reading

Bristol City
vs.
Reading

Ashton Gate

19-10-10

19:45

Bristol City play the first of two very important games for the club.

Both games are against tough opposition (Reading and QPR) and two wins would do the club the power of good.

Vital Quotes:

Keith Millen - official site
'The targets we've set are short-term. The focus is to keep improving and learning.

'If we continue to improve then the targets we've set are reachable. We are focused on the two games coming up (versus Reading tonight and QPR on Friday).

'With two games in four days we have a chance to make the league table look a lot healthier by the weekend.

Simon Church - Reading
"Everyone was disappointed with Saturday`s result but we have a chance to put it right at Bristol City now.

"We created chances but it didn`t really go for us, though Swansea were hard to break down and play good football.

"But it`s gone now, we need to pick ourselves up and be ready for Bristol. I know a few of their players and they`re a good side.

"They didn`t start the season the best but they reckon they`re on their way back now."

Bristol City Team News:

Cole Skuse is a doubt for Bristol City ahead of the visit of Reading.

Skuse was the only absentee from training on Monday after the midfielder limped off in the closing stages of the defeat at Cardiff.

The Robins have yet to win at Ashton Gate this season and boss Keith Millen will change their matchday routine on Tuesday in the hope it will bring them that elusive home victory.

Player to watch: Jon Stead

On the scoresheet on Saturday, will be looking for another tonight to help out the Robins.

Reading Team News:

Reading midfielder Brian Howard is pushing for a recall.

Howard returned from suspension for the home defeat to Swansea at the weekend but was an unused substitute and will hope to earn his place back in Brian McDermott`s side.

Left-back Chris Armstrong has been playing in the centre of midfield since returning from a knee operation but could stand down.

Winger Hal Robson-Kanu was fit to start at the weekend after a knee problem while Icelandic midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson will again miss out through a hamstring injury.

Former Coventry midfielder Jay Tabb is also available for selection after recovering from the foot injury which has restricted him to just 151 minutes of first team football for the Royals this season.

Player to watch: Noel Hunt

Dangerous at the best of times but he'll be well up for this one should he be given a start after declaring himself fit.
