Millen's View: Doncaster Away (1-1)

Bristol City`s new man in charge Keith Millen was full of praise for his side after they managed to come back from Doncaster with a point after the unsettling week that they have had.

City had to get used to more changes at Ashton Gate after Steve Coppell walked out on the club leaving Keith Millen once again to take up the slack.

And it looked like Damion Stewart's goal was going to be enough to give Millen a full quota of the points on offer but Billy Sharp once again spoilt things with a last minute penalty.

After the game, Millen told the BBC: 'I think the players showed they are with me with the commitment and work rate they put into the game.

'If someone had asked me if I'd be satisfied with a point before the game I would have said yes - I would have taken it.

'But after being in front it's disappointing not to have won the game.

'It's been a difficult week for all of us and you are never quite sure where the lads are mentally until they cross the white line.

'The work rate and togetherness shown by the players really pleased me because that's been the basis of our success in the past.

'The players did everything I asked of them. It's a daunting task here but I'll take it day by day and I'm looking forward to the challenge.'
