Sean's View: Peterborough home

Sean's View: Peterborough home
City boss Sean O`Driscoll watched his side whimper to a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Peterborough United on Saturday then appealed to the fans for patience.

A goal from Tyrone Barnett and a double strike from Britt Assombalonga did nothing but leave no doubts on anyone's mind that City are already in another relegation battle, just a few months after losing their Championship status.

Six games into the new season and O'Driscoll has yet to record a league win and on Saturday himself and the team left Ashton Gate with boos ringing in their ears.

But O'Driscoll says that it's just something that happens when you are trying to bring together a new, young side.

He told the Bristol Post "All you can do is be consistent in what you are trying to do. Losing games is not going to keep anybody on-side.

"People are vociferous in their support of the team and if we had won 3-0 and played poorly they would not have cared.

"All we can do is take the things we have done really well into the next game and work hard to put right the things we have not done so well.

"We have to continue to preach good habits and the players are going to have to believe in one another."
