Kav Admits To Having No Answer For JET

Kav Admits To Having No Answer For JET
Carlisle manager Graham Kavanagh had to admit that his side just could not deal with hat-trick hero Jay Emmanuel-Thomas as his side went down 2-4.

JET influenced the City side onto victory, their first win since March, with a second half performance that had Sean O'Driscoll salivating.

Carlisle led at half-time through a Sean O'Hanlon header, but JET scored twice inside a minute after the restart before Wagstaff smashed home a third.

Liam Noble pulled one back for the home side, but JET made sure of the points with his third as the game drew to a close, recording their first win in 22 league games.

'Thomas was a handful all game,' Kavanagh said to reporters after the game.

'We knew he would be a threat and talked about it before the game. We handled him alright in the first half, but could not deal with him in the second.

'We had a bad day at the office in terms of the result, but the lads put a good shift in.

'The work ethic and honesty was there, but we lacked a bit of intelligence at times. We were reactive rather than proactive.'
